This gorgeous kloof cabin is a real "get away from it all" experience. It is situated  right in the kloof, in the heart of the bushveld. With it's own jacuzzi and private splash pool, sundowners on the deck are an experience. The view is beautiful and you may even receive a visit from the kudus, bouwildebeest, impala, nyalas or reedbuck strolling through the valley. This is truly a place where you can replenish your soul.

LOG CABIN

Log Cabin Cost = R800  per night (4 people)

Minimum booking is 2 nights.

Midweek special (Mon-Thurs) - R1600 for 4 nights

We have a gorgeous log cabin situated in the heart of the bushveld. It is "cut out" into the bush so is surrounded by trees and beautiful nature with a piece of lawn and it's own private splash pool and braai area.

There is a double bed in the bedroom and 2 single beds in the lounge area. 

The kitchen is fully self catering and the bathroom has a toilet, basin and shower.

All bedding (clean white) and towels are supplied, together with coffee, tea, sugar, salt, pepper, dish washing liquid and drying cloth.

In the evening, while sipping cocktails in the splash pool, you may see the Nyalas, Blou Wilde bees, Impalas or Kudus coming to nibble on the lawn. This cabin is an experience to be remembered.

8 SLEEPER CHALET

8 Sleeper Chalet cost = R200 per person per night (Min 5 people)

Minimum booking is 2 nights

This is the chalet we normally use for the teachers when we run school camps. It has 4 bedrooms, each with 2 single beds. There is 1 shared bathroom, a small kitchen, a lounge area and a braai area. It is situated inside the main venue. Click here to see the main venue.

The kitchen is fully self catering.

All bedding and towels are supplied, together with coffee, tea, sugar, salt, pepper, dish washing liquid and drying cloth.

​This chalet is ideal for a family getaway.

2 Sleeper rooms

2 Sleeper rooms = R200 per person per night (min 2 people)

These are the rooms we normally use for the teachers when we run school camps. There are 2 small rooms with 2 single beds each. They have a shared bathroom in the middle. There is unfortunately no kitchen for this unit. It is situated inside the small venue. Click here to see the small venue.


All bedding and towels are supplied.

These rooms are mostly used for quick accomodation or for camping groups where some people prefer to stay in rooms.

DORMITORIES

Dormitory cost = R100 per person per night 

We have 8 dormitories varying in size and sleeping from 12 to 40 people in each. Click here to see the venues.

They all have bunk beds and do  not supply bedding.

The lapas and industrial kitchens can be hired if needed. For groups we can also provide catering.

These dorms can be booked individually or together at this stage while we are not running camps.

Some have on suite bathrooms and some share ablutions.

They are great for parties, group outings, birthdays, etc.

THINGS TO DO AT KAREE KRANS

  • 4x4 - Our well known 4x4 routes are a total of about 10.4 km long and are perfect for beginers as well as the more expereinced 4x4ers. 
  • Hiking – Hikers are free to enjoy 200 hectares of land boasting almost all of South Africa’s indigenous trees, and plenty of game and wild life.
  • Mountain biking – We have 2 awesome mountain biking routes. The lemon and herb is the easy one and peri-peri is a bit more challenging for the more experienced riders. 
  • Dam – the dam is the centre of attraction at Karee Krans. There is a foofie slide over the dam, canoes to play in and plenty of tilapia and carp to catch.
  • Stream – The river is a beautiful, peaceful place to have a braai or a picnic. 
  • Bird watching – Bring those binoculars and see how many different bird species you can find.
  • Fishing – We have a small dam hosting plenty of tilapia and carp as well as a stream running through the farm. Kids can have great fun messing around with their fishing rods.
  • Swimming – Guests are welcome to swim in the dam and in the pool.
  • Canoeing  – There are canoes available for guests to play around in the dam with.
  • Obstacle course – Come and test your strength and agility on our super cool obstacle course built in the blue gum forest. There are also 2 foofie slides at the obstacle course. 

ALL THESE ACTIVITIES ARE ABSOLUTELY FREE except 4x4 and Game drives!!!
